I have restored the family 2011 iMac to service, running macOS High Sierra, the last supported version of macOS on this hardware. Hopefully this holds us for a few more years. I am considering replacing the internal drive with an SSD, though...

So happy to have fixed the family iMac. After some research, I think I’m going to dive in and replace the hard drive with an SSD to extend the life of this machine a few more years. It’s a shame that I’m stuck on High Sierra, though.
