I designed a modernist play structure for the kids!
Now we will see if we can squeeze it into the landscaping budget. What do you think of it?

Do you have a slide?

Still debating. If I add a slide, I'll swap the climbing wall with the cargo net and put it on the left side.

Well you can add a slide off the wall which will make it more fun.

Are the swings hanging off one of the monkey bar rails?

I'm thinking it'll be two sets of abutted rails, with the swings in the back and the monkey bars in the front.

Also, this is when I wish I had skills with a good CAD program. Maybe I should just pay Katie Firestone Baad to render it for me ;)

Only I don't do Cad myself... I'm too old school and hand draw to scale. I do have some drafters though ;-)

Funny you should mention. I've actually gone on a SketchUp bender the last couple of weeks. Current project is a caddy for my Expo dry-erase set so I can keep them out and get to them easily:
Kyle Marsh I fiddled a bunch with SketchUp tonight. Got decently far, but I don't think I have the time to get skilled enough to really make headway on a full plan for the playhouse!

As an architect I give you a good grade, but as an experienced dad I think this is for you as it was for me. The kids will love simple that allows for imagination.
