Whether Jewish or Christian, ideological purists like Bernie Sanders, Ted Cruz, or Jimmy Carter often prove ineffective at practical governance. At a time when people could not elect their own rulers, the words of Jesus seem wise in assessing flawed politicos vs. principled ideologues: “Go and tell (Herod) that fox” … “the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.” (Luke 13:32, Luke 16:8). You realize that she's under criminal investigation for violating the official secrets act. And, you support her?!? Are you kidding me?!?
