I wonder if Twitter’s new character limit will be allowed in third-party clients? So far, I’m not seeing the new limit in Tweetbot iOS.

@cleverdevil As far as I know, there's no timeline for adding 280 to the API. Which is weird, since the API already supports querying for the tweet length.

The API doesn’t support them. Doubt twitter will extend it. They don’t care much for third-party clients.

@craigmcclellan I saw! Pleasantly surprised. I’ll have to update my website’s syndication plug-in once the change is live. I’m guessing @Manton will have to do the same!
