I'm absolutely serious by what I say here, by the way. If you're thinking of writing a "well, actually" retort to me here in the comments, save yourself the effort. Just click "unfriend." I don't wish to associate with you anymore.

It'd be one thing if this were, you know, about making healthcare more affordable for and accessible to everyone.
This is just trying to undo a black man's legacy, collateral damage be damned.
Jk. I feel like the last 100 days have been a giant middle finger to the American public.

Can I still be your friend if I haven't read it yet and still haven't formed an opinion? I will eventually get there since I work in healthcare billing and it will affect my job. Honestly, I don't know how so many people got angry right when they passed it. I thought they released the bill just before passing it. I am kind of mad that congress keeps passing bills without public input.
Well that article doesn't make it look good. The author does say they haven't read it yet but it doesn't sound hopeful.

People were angry because A) it's still starting from the AHCA that CBO previously said would result in 24 million people losing their insurance, B) the two major amendments basically shred pre-existing condition coverage, so that number will likely be worse and C) BECAUSE the House rammed it through without reading it or allowing public comment despite their own previous pledges to the contrary. Basically, every dirty trick the GOP has dishonestly claimed was used to pass Obamacare, they actually used here. Which makes me angry for a bill that affects a sixth of our GDP in the first place, no matter what the contents of the bill turn out to be.
