For comparison, see my original unrestored Slim on the right. The refurb was performed by Razor Emporium, who sourced a vintage razor, disassembled, cleaned, re-plated it in rhodium, then re-assembled and polished it for me. Can't wait to shave with this beautiful piece of kit!

Thanks Razor Emporium!
what do you adjust? All mine have just screwed together is there an... angle? Or something?
it adjusts the angle of the blade for more/less aggressive shave.
doesn't your wrist do that?
not precisely, the angle of the blade in this case is more about "blade gap," which impacts the shave slightly differently.
Looks practically new. The other one looks like it's seen some shit.
its an original from 1962. I've cleaned and polished it multiple times, but nickel isn't particularly forgiving.
Legit.
I use a "Merkur Progress" for about 5 years now.
BTW long handle. ;)
I've used Merkur Futur, an old school Merkur, an Edwin Jagger, and a few vintage Gillette razors over the years. I have one more vintage slim out for refurbishment now, but with a much less traditional plating technique. I'll post pictures in a few weeks when it arrives :)
HAHAHAHA Your shaver is like paintball guns for me :P
side note, have you see the oil slick finish also known as PVD?
Yes! Very cool, though I don't know anyone who does them for razors, or if it'd even be wise to do.
Ying Guo the one I have out now is going through a cool process with http:// deltaechorazors.com that will surely be gorgeous.
