Other issue: the Apple TV remote is utter garbage. That said, I use a good universal remote in my home theater anyway.

omg no! The AppleTV remote is the best remote! So small and doesn't have needless buttons. It's the only remote I use at home now! The sound bar and TV turn on automatically when I press a button on the AppleTV remote, and everything turns off when I turn off the AppleTV. I'm so glad to not have to deal with clunky remotes full of buttons!
