Ugh. @SlackHQ is great in many ways, but the macOS app is garbage. May go back to IRC gateway...

@cleverdevil I found myself in the same boat! I try to use slack but can't get over the atrocious apps. Always come back to IRC.

@eli Interesting. I've used Slack's Mac app since forever and find it to be fine. A memory hog due to Electron, but functionally does what it should and I have few complaints. Tried it via IRC and Emacs and both are faster/lighter but inferior experiences, IMO.
