I only have one Roku TV but I damn well sure won't be buying more.

@cleverdevil It’s a real bummer. I like my Roku but not the direction they’re going.

@cleverdevil that's hugely disappointing to read. Not that I have any streaming services, but that attitude is so negative.

I dunno, my telemetry says AppleTV collects just as much data as Roku does. I don't see this as such a big deal.

Maybe I’m naive, but I sincerely trust Apple far more than Rocky, especially after that article.

All of my FireTV devices spam me with way more ads every day then my Rokus. Also my cable app is only available on Roku, and many of my channels don’t work well on FireTV.

I haven’t tried Apple TV since the first generation , but FireTV isn’t good at all. And I own 6 of them...

I read the article. A little advertising has never bothered me. My only Roku complaint is no mute button on the remote.
