Note
Signed up for gigabit internet service, finally. Installation by end of month! A bit disappointing that the upstream is only 35 Mbps, but honestly, gigabit downstream makes me feel like I'm living in the gosh-darned future.

"Only" 35mbps! You could run your website off of that no problem! In fact I bet you'll have trouble finding anything that can accept data at that rate anyway. When I had 900mbps down and 700mbps up i couldn't use it all anyway!

Comcast, it sounds like? I’m grateful to be in a @verizonfios market. Symmetrical gigabit is crazy nice, but honestly only ever use the uploads for infrequent large backup uploads. Downstream is the big winner and it’s a game changer. Congrats!

Nope, its Spectrum, thankfully. I despise Comcast :) We have Frontier available, but I hear terrible things, and they don't offer gigabit anyway.

@cleverdevil nice. 35Mbps of upstream sounds good enough, sure far lesser compared to the downloads speed. I wonder are there gigabit internets with matching upstream?

@amit the fiber providers are all symmetric, including FiOS. That said, they’re very limited availability. I would be absolutely happy with 1000/100. 35 is still pretty good though!
