@cleverdevil Octopath Traveler is a favourite of mine, if you like old school-like RPGs, Diablo 3 if you’re into doungon crawling. Pokémon Let’s Go it’s another good one. Zelda Breath of the Wild of course.

I'm sure you already know you need Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart and all the usual ones. What you don't know is that you also need Hollow Knight.

It came with Mario Party and she also got me Sonic Mania (amazing). I definitely want Mario Kart, Mario Odyssey, and Breath of the Wild.

Trust me, man. Hollow Knight is cheap and it's unbelievably large for being made by such a small indie team.

@EddieHinkle yay! I definitely want Mario Kart. I still love playing MK 64 on my retro gaming gear and I’m betting I’ll love the MK for Switch. That will likely be purchase number one :D

@cleverdevil besides the games that @gabz has suggested, which are all awesome, I’ve enjoyed Firewatch, Olli Olli, Terraria, and Super Smash Bros. lately.

@matpacker @cleverdevil @gabz @eddiehinkle jumping into your thread to second Firewatch. It has a great narrative expressed in a really unique way. I played it on a different system but am considering buying it again for the Switch. Also to express my love of Mariokart. It was our first game on the Switch and it’s truly a game everyone in the family can enjoy. While it’s competitive it’s great to see my kids say things like “ok let’s get 1 and 2 on this map”. Turns it into a co-op game a bit.

@cleverdevil There are a lot of great games. If I had understood how engrossing “Breath of the Wild” is, I would have bought nothing else for the first 4-5 months I owned a Switch. “Hollow Knight” is what I am playing now, and it is great (difficult, but great nonetheless).

@matpacker Firewatch is definitely on the list, as is Super Smash Bros. Thanks for the recs!

@cleverdevil Congrats. Some great recommendations already. You should also consider Splatoon 2, Mario Odyssey, Towerfall, Celeste, Stardew Valley, Messenger, Guacamelee, Yokus Island Express, Dead Cells, Axiom Verge and Into the Breach.
