Okay, I have a plan with this iMac... it appears to be hanging while loading kernel extensions. I'm gonna boot into recovery mode, mount the drive read/write, blast all of them from /Library/Extensions *and* /System/Library/Extensions, and then re-install macOS. Wish me luck 😃 — cleverdevil
