For Christmas, I’ve been authorized to get myself an e-bike! Now, I have to figure out which one I want. Currently thinking about the VanMoof S3. Any recommendations?

Dope! I’ll check it out. I live by the beach on the top of a steep, steep hill in a fairly hilly area. I like light to medium effort, relaxing bike rides, which is why I want an e-bike.

@cleverdevil I looked around online, found what I wanted and went to the shop which didn't in fact have that. I rode a couple of different models of bikes and just wasn't sure. Then I rode a third and knew instantly that was the right one for me. My moral is: ride several different bikes before laying out the $$.

@cleverdevil Oh, I also knew beforehand what style of bike I wanted — mountain bike, city, commuter etc.

@cleverdevil I've got a Giant Quick-E, which tops 50 pounds. I think I'd take the Van Hoof over it if I lived near a Van Hoof dealer.
