Renovation is under way at the LA house. Excited about the home theater! I have my new projector and screen, with new speakers on order. Next up is the A/V receiver. Any recommendations?

Current thinking is Denon. They’ve got industry leading room correction, and I’ve got limited patience and qualification for calibration 😎

@cleverdevil I got a Denon a few years ago that I have been pretty happy with. Don’t remember the exact model off the top of my head.

@cleverdevil What are you using for a projector? I am currently looking at short throw models.

@fgtech I’ve got an AWOL LTV-3500 UST projector. I used it for a month or so in my old theater before we got to demolition, and it blew me away, even with the non-ALR screen I had. I’ve since purchased the AWOL 120” Cinema ALR screen. The 3500 is incredibly bright, extremely crisp 4K resolution, and supports HDR10+ (and soon, Dolby Vision!). Highly recommend.

@cleverdevil Thanks! I’ll check it out.
