Humane AI Pin is the next Segway. An interesting piece of technology developed on a fundamentally bad assumption. Segway misjudged people’s love for cars, and Humane has misjudged people’s love for smartphones.

The Segway was also ahead of its time technologically, to the point that it wasn’t a great user experience. Could be another similarity?

@jonathan Segways have their uses, and I still see them on occasion. Completely overhyped but still a good fit for some use cases. There is a good chance neither of us will ever see the Humane device in the wild.

@jonathan This thing is much more like the CueCat than the Segway, IMHO. Completely pointless except, perhaps, as something to hack into something completely different — though at much greater expense.
