Note
I am having a really difficult time processing the tragic conflict in Gaza. I am so upset to see the death and suffering inflicted by both Hamas and Israel, but I don’t know how to be an advocate for peace. There is so much history and complexity, and while I have done my best to listen and learn, it’s just too fraught.

@jonathan Yes. It’s awful. At some point, the cycle has to be broken. There are Very Bad means of achieving this (which I feel like we are sliding towards). I favor some kind of radical reconciliation (and even forgiveness?) but it requires an amount of compassion and trust that borders on the miraculous, and I despair that such courage will appear in my lifetime.
