I’d absolutely love to see Apple TV+ do adaptations of some of my favorite books - The Dresden Files, Snow Crash, Anathem, Seveneves, etc.

@jonathan Along those lines, I’d love to see an adaptation of Cryptonomicon. Might be tricky to pull off, but so are some of the other franchises you mentioned.

@jeff Soooo tricky. It’s an incredible feat of world building, but the density is off the charts. The same could be said for Foundation, though, and they’ve been bold in their adaptation. Cryptonomicon would require the same touch. I think Seveneves would be the best direct adaptation. Snow Crash is my dream, though!

@jonathan There are some intensely cinematic moments in Anathem that would be amaaaazing to translate to the screen.

@mpirnat It’d be a very challenging adaptation, but I think it could be pulled off. The Expanse was remarkably good, and I think it’s similarly challenging source material. Gimme Jared Harris as Fraa Jad!

@idallas Yeah it’s had a couple of attempted adaptations. I think the director of Attack the Block was signed to do a film, but it got shelved.
