The family vacation to Costa Rica has been lovely so far. We have been at a nice Marriott property, a condo in Tamarindo, and now at a phenomenal hotel in a remote part of CR.

@jonathan I was just browsing vacation resorts in Costa Rico, a country I know nothing about.

@YurkshireLad This is our second visit and we love it. The “pura vida” culture is real. Our next stop is a “treehouse hotel” with accommodations above the canopy of the forest. Such a great country.

@jonathan the tree house sounds fantastic! Is it a safe place to vacation, compared to other countries in the region? We talked about looking for a new destination; our previous vacations were to Caribbean islands.

@YurkshireLad It has a similar vibe to the Caribbean. There are tourist friendly beach areas like Tamarindo in Guanacaste, a decent sized city in San Jose, and rural areas that feel undiscovered like where we are near the Rio Celeste. Feels safe. Main reason to close windows/doors is howler monkey invasions! (Treehouse hotel - https://suitree.com) Guanacaste, Costa Rica Treehouse | Suitree Experience Hotel
