The good news: my son and I successfully built his gaming PC.
The bad news: now I want to build myself a gaming PC.

@jonathan Yup. Built my daughter one for Christmas over a year ago. I don’t even want one of my own, but I’m still fighting the itch to build myself one anyway.

@mpirnat I fired up Horizon Zero Dawn on his PC at 1440p Ultra High and it was averaging 120fps. It’s going to take everything in my power not to steal it 😂 Using ChimeraOS, which works really well, and no Windows to fiddle with. In a few months I’ll probably break down and build myself one…

@cleverdevil I thoroughly enjoyed my last PC build experience. I'll probably need to upgrade the CPU and GPU next year but I have time to plan that.

@joelhamill this was my first build in well over a decade. My how things have changed! We don’t make it easy on ourselves, as we went Mini ITX, but I’m super happy with how it turned out. The little guy has an awesome computer that should last him a long time.

@cleverdevil Ooh, yes! I was pleasantly surprised by how easy building mine was. Not at all like I remembered it.
