It gets better (worse?)… a woman on my flight was angry about the delays and demanded to be given a refund and a free hotel room and refused to sit down or to get off until she had it in writing.

Truth! Selfishness runs *deep* in a huge portion of our voting population. This is why I scoff when people say “this is not who we are” as a response to our current political moment. Nonsense. It’s precisely who we are. Once you admit it you have a better shot to change it.
