The mothership has finally mandated that I use Outlook for email and jeebus what a dumpster fire. The number of buttons, toolbars, ribbons, menus, “add-ins,” “apps,” and settings is literal chaos. How does anyone use this shit?

@jonathan Every time I work at an Office 360 shop, I pray they keep IMAP open.

Apparently we can have IT re-image our MacBooks, which still won’t be great, but it will be a hell of a lot more tolerable than Citrix! The Mac version of O365 looks… fine.

@bloftin2 between the complete dominance of Electron and web apps, the rise of SteamOS, and Google’s dirt cheap Chromebooks, I think Windows’ days are numbered.

@cleverdevil I actually use an Asus Chromebook Flip at home about 90% of the time. And I hate Google, but I’ve got the machine, it is fine for writing blog posts, and essentially gets the job done. When it finally is obsolete or dies I will switch to a MacBook Air. I use the Chromebook to connect to my iCloud apps too, which is nice.
